Cooperative work: having fun with speaking and writing activities

This week we are playing lots of group games. We are learning how to write some words, but we are also learning how to pronounce them and how to use short sentences in English.

YEAR 1: BODY PARTS

First, we played on the board. Then, it was time to try with our class mates. Each group wrote the vocabulary on post-it stickers and practised with a real model.

 YEAR 2: HAS SHE/HE GOT A PET?

We are learning some names of pets, and we are practising making questions and answers "Has she/he got...?" First we played a guessing game and later we did a matching pairs activity. Really fun!

Team work: Treball cooperatiu a la classe d'anglés

La classe d'anglés és l'espai ideal per treballar de forma cooperativa. Fomentem la comunicació i l'autonomia, generant moments d'aprenentatge en un context significatiu. En parella o en grup, els xiquets i xiquetes participen en les activitats i aprenen al mateix temps que es ho passen bé.
Enguany, treballarem d'aquesta forma a les nostres classes de primer i segon de primària, i us aniré contant el resultat. Per començar, un xicotet experiment per treballar el vocabulari en anglés d'una forma divertida: formar paraules (conegudes i treballades anteriorment) amb blocs de construccions.
Children work in grups of 4-5. Each group has a secretary, who contacts me in case of doubts or problems. They have a worksheet with some pictures and a grid, and a set of plastic blocks with letters. They need to find the correct combination to have the spelling of the words (pictures). Then, in turns, they write down all the answers.
